Royal Mail Postal Changes – October 2014
Royal Mail introduced changes to their service in October 2014. To make thing simpler there is only one format for small parcels, which has a maximum height of 160mm. We have put together a guide designed to offer you insights into which of our products are most suitable for your use.
Royal Mail
If you are currently sending less than 1000 parcels per year the following rates now apply.

Large parcels
Large parcels will need to be sent via Parcelforce or another courier.
Postal tubes
Royal Mail has also introduced changes to the way rolled and cylinder shaped items can be posted. In order to be classed as a small parcel the following dimensions apply to postal tubes: Weight 2kg / Length 450mm / Diameter 80mm.
Royal Mail 24/48
Previously known as Packetpost the Royal Mail 24/48 service offers anybody sending over 1000 parcels the opportunity to send letters or packets within the following size limits:

The Royal Mail 24/48 service combines the letter and large letter category into one and also combines the small and medium sized parcels into one category; Royal Mail 24/48 also considers the weight of the items.

- » Large letters sent by Royal Mail 24 and 48 have a weight limit of 750gm
