What is silica gel?

Silica gel is made of silicon dioxide and provides a natural way to remove moisture. The small particles of the silica can absorb a large amount of water relative to their size and help products safely reach their destination without damage.

What are desiccants?

A desiccant is a product that helps keep a product dry as well to dry it out. Silica gel is a desiccant but there are other materials that can serve the same purpose - within our own range we have Calcium Chloride and Bentonite Clay which both offer an alternative to silica gel while providing the same moisture combating properties.
